Autocrat’s oldest are now 3 yrs old in 2008 and we are getting some rave reviews on the temperament and willingness to learn of many of his offspring. This is how some of Auto’s offspring owners are describing their Autocrat offspring:
“Very good minds” “No one could believe he was only 3 yrs old”
“Not afraid of anything” “Not spooky at all” “Really easy to start”Air Time, a three yr old 16.3 hh Oldenburg gelding by Autocrat, attended HIS FIRST SHOW just to get him out and about. These are the comments from his owner, Francie Olson;
“He was in the ribbons in the mini hunters at the A circuit show at the Tucson Fall Circuit and that was his first show ever and (first Time) being away from the ranch. He was very good.”

In March 2008, Autocrat went to his FIRST SHOW at the Los Angeles Dressage Center in California with his rider Betty Wells. The Cornerstone Dressage show at the Los Angeles Dressage Festival is one of the top venues for horses in the Western US and Canada and is a showcase for some of Western North America’s top dressage talent.
Auto & Betty had a very successful few days, placing 2nd in all his 3rd Level tests. In his first class of 13 horses he scored 64.615% and was 2nd only to Willy Arts riding Valeska who was selected for the 2008 World Young Horse Championships.

Edward
the LionheartCongratulations to Hanna & Urs Schlup of River Ranch Farm & their horse, Edward the Lionheart (Eddy) on winning the 4 year Old Division of the Manitoba Young Horse Championships at the 2007 Manitoba Royal Winter Fair.
Eddy is from the breeding program of Crooked Creek & Woodhaven Farms and is by Eastern Ruler out of the mare Lotus who is also the mother of Lexus one of our fine broodmares. Lexus is the mother of Lark by Autocrat."
Crooked Creek & Woodhaven Farms recently attended the 2006 Western Hanoverian Mare Show & Inspection held at Spruce Meadows during the Masters in September. This was the largest Western Hanoverian Mare show to date with horses from B.C, Alberta, and Manitoba attending.
The 3 year old Hanoverian mare, Sabrina (Simply S.M x Grandora by Goodwill) bred by John Kmita & owned by Woodhaven Farms, made the long trip to Spruce from Manitoba. This was Sabrinas first trip off the farm and she handled the busy atmosphere at Spruce very well! Sabrina was entered into the Main Stud book and placed 4th in her class of 9 three year olds. Purchased at 1 1/2 years old in 2005 as a future hunter /jumper broodmare, she exhibits a very good walk & canter with classic conformation. Sabrina is a full sister the Champion Hunter stallion Samual. She is expecting a foal by Autocrat in 2007.
Many thanks to Sabrinas handler David Schmidt of Crooked Creek Farm & to Judy Kley from Spruce Meadows for looking after us so well!
Sabrina is also featured on the cover of Horse Country Magazine October 2006 issue.

Also welcome to the 11 year old, Elite Mare Candidate Whoopi by Weltmeyer out of St. Pr. Las Vegas by Lungau. Whoopi was imported as a young mare and went on to win the 1a prize at the Spruce Meadows mare show as a Three year old. Her first foal, Millenium by Mister A, now owned by Destre Meyer, was the 2001 USDF Reserve Grand Champion yearling colt /gelding for Sport Horse Breeding and placed third in the U.S in 2002 for Two year old colts/geldings. Millenium is now competing successfully at level 3 dressage. Whoopi has since produced the Canadian Warmblood licensed CWHBA stallion, Weltklasse by Flemmingh, and two fillies including the Hanoverian yearling filly, Asia by Autocrat, being kept for future breeding purposes. Whoopi had a lovely filly by the Dutch stallion, Prestige, in 2006.
Both De La Noche & Whoopi are expecting Autocrat foals in 2007.
Manitoba held two Oldenburg Inspections this year. Both were well attended
with some very good mares & foals being presented.
Briarwood Stables, Winnipeg:
In Winnipeg, Briarwood Stables, owned and managed by Jim Byers, held their first Oldenburg Inspection.
A big congratulations to Sharon & Merv Stebelski of Jettin Rose Farm whose beautiful 4 yr old Oldenburg mare Dubonnet by Donnerluck x Hela (by Matador) bred & owned by Sharon & Merv, was awarded Premium. There are only a few mares in North America each year awarded the premium award.
Foals being presented for registration were by Fabuleux, Donnerluck, Cabalito, & Autocrat. Three foals were awarded premiums.
Woodhaven & Crooked Creek Farms, Neepawa:
At the Woodhaven & Crooked Creek Farms Inspection in Neepawa the top mare was Almost April by Hailo x Avec (by Tannenberg) bred by Jean Brinkman and owned by Dave Toews of Tannenhof Stables.
Foals being presented for registration were by Donnerluck, Cabalito and Autocrat. Premiums were awarded to two foals.
There was a very good turnout for the 2006 CWHBA annual Mare Inspection
& Foal Futurity with 10 mares inspected and 12 foals for the Foal
Futurity making this one of the largest Mare Inspection & Foal Futurities
in Manitobas history.
Two Mares were awarded Premium status:
2006 Foal Futurity:
The yearing filly, AnnaKristina by Autocrat out of Ophra xx (by Sadler xx) is turning heads on the line class circuit this year in Ontario. This filly, bred by Carol Nasager of Cadmus County Stables, is one of only a couple of Autocrat offspring in Ontario from his first foal crop in 2005.
At the July 23rd Fieldstone Farms show she won her yearling class and then went on to win the Junior championship against some top competition with offspring from sires like A Fine Romance, Sailors Spirit (by Popeye K) & Ironman. She will continue to show at the point shows on her way to the yearling division at the Toronto Royal Fair. We wish them the best of luck in the future.
Welcome to the world Isabellah. This beautiful Hanoverian filly
bred & owned by Sherry White of Greystone Farms is pictured
at 6 days old & was born April 17, 2006.
Isabellah is by Autocrat out of the SPS Mare Indullah (Inschallah
x Furioso II). She is shown with her surrogate mom, Holly.
She was the first Autocrat Embryo transfer baby and certainly lives
up to her name!

Our first foals from our imported Hanoverian stallion Autocrat
have arrived and we (including Auto) are very pleased with the results!
They are elegant, athletic, very correct, and have beautiful
heads and necks. They also are very friendly and personable & tend
to follow us around like little pups!!
